About the Parish

Saint Theresa of the Infant Jesus Parish is an active and vibrant Roman Catholic Parish of the Diocese of Harrisburg located in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania. The parish is comprised of approximately 2400 households and 6300 individuals. With about 75 areas of ministry, it is an active parish reaching out to meet the needs of everyone.

The center of our parish life is the celebration of the Eucharist. It is from this source of strength that we are empowered to live our Christian Catholic faith as active members of the Body of Christ; to be that beacon of hope and encouragement that our world needs; to build up God’s Kingdom here in our little corner of that kingdom. The weekend and weekday Mass schedule is varied and should provide opportunities to join us in prayerful worship of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

When Christ left this world he commissioned His apostles to “go and make disciples of all the nations… teach them to carry out everything I have commanded you,” Our parish elementary school is our “Flagship” program that helps us fulfill this command of Christ with our young people on a day to day basis. I invite you to visit our school website to learn more about this wonderful opportunity as well as our Faith Formation Site to learn about opportunities for Religious Education for all our young people.

If you are not currently a member of the parish or perhaps have not been actively practicing your Catholic faith, I invite you to contact me. If you are a member and are looking for opportunities to become more active in the parish, please look over the areas of ministry listed and see how you might become more involved in the life of our parish.

I thank you for visiting this website. May the Lord bless you and your loved ones.

In God’s peace,

Rev. J. Michael McFadden
